Johnny Gargano Returns On 8/22 WWE Raw, Announces That He’s Back In WWE

On the August 22 episode of WWE Raw, the former NXT Champion shockingly came to the ring. He reminded the fans about everything he did in NXT. Johnny Wrestling acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding his future and recalled how he used to dream of winning titles in WWE.
He noted that he wanted to show his son that anything is possible if you chase your dreams. Gargano stated that by coming to WWE Raw, he was betting on himself. He announced that he was back in WWE, and by returning, he’s betting on himself.

Theory, Gargano’s former stablemate in The Way, came to the ring. He stated that a lot has happened since Gargano left, as he has won the Money in the Bank briefcase. He noted that none of it would have been possible without Gargano. Theory told Gargano that he had grown so much that he was practically the veteran while Gargano was the rookie.
He said Gargano could carry his briefcase and support him when he won the title. Theory then stated that if that didn’t work for Gargano, he could just go away. Theory then told Gargano to give him a high five, and Johnny Wrestling dropped him with a superkick.
Gargano, a former NXT Triple Crown Champion, left WWE when his contract expired in December. He has been taking time off ever since due to the pregnancy of his wife, Candice LeRae, and the subsequent birth of their son, Quill. On multiple occasions, Gargano made it clear that he was waiting for the right time to return.
