Welterweights Are The Latest Addition To Bellator 181
A welterweight division attraction is the latest addition to the Bellator 181 card as AJ Matthews is in action against Andre Fialho.
Matthews (8-6-0) is going to enter the fight while riding a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t earned a victory in just about three years time. The last three losses that were suffered by Matthews came to the trio of Anatoly Tokov, Ben Reiter and Hisaki Kato. Matthews has earned four victories thus far in Bellator MMA, which includes a win over Strikeforce veteran Rudy Bears at Bellator 53.
Fialho (7-1-0) has won two of three fights under the Bellator MMA banner, with those two wins coming over the duo of Manuel Meraz and Rick Reger. Fialho has yet to see any of his professional MMA fights go the distance and only one of them has even gone to the second round. Fialho is also coming off of his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Chidi Njokuani at Bellator 167.
Bellator 181 takes place on Friday, July 14 from the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Patricky Freire and Derek Campos. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
