Vitor Belfort Says He’s Fighting Uriah Hall This January, Going To Be Final UFC Fight
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion #11 Vitor Belfort is apparently fighting for the final time in the UFC this coming January at a yet to be announced UFC event against #10 Uriah Hall.
It was Belfort who announced his potential final fight through Instagram:
Belfort (26-13-0-1NC) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Nate Marquardt at UFC 212. Belfort became the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion over a decade ago at UFC 46 in January 2004, defeating Randy Couture by first round TKO. Belfort has also seen just one of his fights go the distance in the last decade and that was his aforementioned bout at UFC 212.
Hall (13-8-0) has also won just one of his last four in the UFC, with his win coming over Krzsysztof Jotko at UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh. Hall made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17, but suffered a decision loss to Kelvin Gastelum in that final bout. Hall is also going to be competing in Brazil for the first time in his UFC career, which has already lasted over four years.
The yet to be announced UFC event takes place on Sunday, January 14 from a location to be announced with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event and broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
