Violent Bob Ross Talks UFC Nashville Win, Missing Weight & What’s Next
Luis Pena last competed at UFC Fight Night Nashville, defeating Steven Peterson by first round TKO.
A victorious Pena did miss weight for the bout, but will not make any excuses as to why that happened.
“Man, I just had…there were just some things outside of my control. Honestly, it’s my fault. I take full responsibility for missing weight, I really don’t want to get into the details and everything because I don’t really want to make excuses about it,” says Pena in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
The bout also marked Pena’s featherweight division debut, as the TUF alumni had previously competed at lightweight.
Pena is looking at potentially returning to action during UFC International Fight Week this July, which would mark the fighter’s one year anniversary with the UFC.
“Most definitely (looking forward to the next fight), I’ve already talked to my managers. We’re looking at late June and early July, that was one thing they brought up…which was International Fight Week. I’m not opposed to it, I would love to go back and fight on International Fight Week. Like the anniversary of my UFC debut, it’d be pretty cool,” says Pena.
UFC International Fight Week takes place in the first week of July and concludes with UFC 239 on Saturday, July 6.
