The Upcoming UFC Event Schedule

The upcoming UFC schedule is packed with a number of exciting bouts. 2021 may have been full of elite action in the octagon, but 2022 is set to bring all of that and more as the year progresses. As such, you can expect online bookmakers to provide several offers, such as free bets to use on your favourite fighters, alongside competitive betting markets.

From the welcome return to the cage for The Preachers Daughter to the showdown for the Lightweight Championship, let’s take a look at all the confirmed UFC 2022 events that lie in store.

UFC 274 – Oliveira vs Gaethje

When: Sunday 8th May

Where: Footprint Center, Phoenix

The lead-up to UFC 274 has been far from smooth sailing. Initially planned to take place in Brazil, the event was originally going to showcase a UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout.

Instead, we get to enjoy a Lightweight Championship between reigning champ Charles Oliveira and the one-time interim titleholder, Justin Gaethje as the main event.

There’s also an excellent Women’s Strawweight Championship rematch lined up between double-champ Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza as the co-main event.

UFC Fight Night – Blachowicz vs Rakic

When: Sunday 15th May

Where: UFC Apex, Las Vegas

Originally scheduled for UFC on ESPN 33 back in March, Jan Blachowicz and Aleksandar Rakic will have a few scores to settle on this Fight Night main event.

A Flyweight bout between Katlyn Chookagian and Amanda Ribas is also on the schedule and we’ll also see Britain’s Jake Hadley make his UFC debut against Allan Nascimento.

UFC Fight Night – Holm vs Vieira

When: Sunday 22nd May

Where: UFC Apex, Las Vegas

Holly ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ Holm will be returning to the octagon after an almost two-year absence, taking on Ketlen Vieira in a Bantamweight bout.

The two other confirmed bouts so far are a Welterweight scrap between Santiago Ponzinibbio and Michel Pereira and a Middleweight fight between Eryk Anders and Jun Yong Park.

UFC Fight Night – Volkov vs Rozenstruik

When: Saturday 4th June

Where: UFC Apex, Las Vegas

Rounding off the spring/summer 2022’s UFC Fight Nights will be a Heavyweight bout between former Bellator champ Alexander Volkov and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

The remainder of the card is TBC.

UFC 275 – Teixeira vs Prochazka

When: Sunday 12th June

Where: Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore

This Light Heavyweight Championship match between reigning champ Glover Texeira and former Rizin LH champion Jiří Procházka was originally scheduled for UFC 274 in May. However, for reasons still not disclosed –and not likely to ever be disclosed – the bout was pushed forward to June.

We’re particularly looking forward to watching the seemingly unstoppable Valentina Shevchenko defend her Flyweight belt against Taila Santos in the co-main event. The ‘Bullet’ has already made six successful title defenses since 2018 so she’s not going to let it go lightly – if at all.
