Unknown Assailant Torches Anthony Pettis’ Cars
Anthony Pettis is preparing to battle Max Holloway at UFC 206, but that was interrupted Thursday when an unknown assailant burned all three of his cars to a crisp.
"I saw a car speeding through the neighborhood," said Carson Blaszak to Fox 6 News. "Right around the same time as that happened, there was kind of a large bang," Blaszak said. "It was three cars caught on fire. I just, I ran outside, and I was hoping, you know, the house hopefully wasn't gonna catch on fire. As he's screaming that the house is on fire. Of course, you jump outta bed and you can't believe your eyes to see what you're, you know, that it's real.”
According to police reports, the suspect initially set only two of Pettis’s cars on fire, but the flames would then spread to the third car.
Fortunately for Pettis and his family, everybody was safe due to the local fire and police department. The Pettis' were home at the time of the incident,
"Luckily, the police department and fire department were able to get here very quickly and took care of it and everyone was safe," said Carson Blaszak.
Pettis has not issued a statement of any kind yet about the situation, and likely wont until he processes the situation, according to Fox 6.
Pettis is still expected to compete at UFC 206, which is taking place on Saturday, December 10th from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson headlining.
