UFC Veteran Set For Bellator 181

A women’s featherweight division attraction is the latest addition to the Bellator 181 card as UFC veteran Alexis Dufresne is in action against Amanda Bell.

Dufresne (6-3-0) has won just one of two fights in Bellator MMA, defeating the now retired Marloes Coenen and suffering a defeat to Gabrielle Holloway. Dufresne also went winless during her two fight stint in the UFC, dropping fights to Sarah Moras and Marion Reneau. Prior to signing with either the UFC or Bellator MMA, the fighter earned a victory over Kim Couture, the ex-wife of former UFC two division champion Randy Couture.

Bell (4-4-0) is going to be making her Bellator MMA debut in this fight, but she does hold a win over Marina Shafir of the Ronda Rousey lead “Four Horsewomen.” Bell also won just one of four fights under the Invicta FC banner, with that lone win coming over Maria Hougaard Djursaa at Invicta FC 9. Bell is also coming off of a win over Gabrielle Holloway, who was the last person to defeat her upcoming Bellator 181 opponent Alexis Dufresne.

Bellator 181 takes place on Friday, July 14 from the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Patricky Freire and Derek Campos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
