UFC Veteran James Moontasri Retires
Six fight UFC veteran James Moontasri has announced his retirement from professional MMA, he retires with a record of 9-5-0 (2-4-0 in the UFC).
Moontasri made the announcement via Facebook:
Moontasri has competed in professional MMA for over eight years, fighting top names like Jordan Rinaldi, Joe Ellenberger, Cody Pfister, Kevin Lee, Alex Oliveira and Alex Morono. Moontasri last competed at UFC On Fox 22 in December 2016, suffering a unanimous decision defeat to the aforementioned Alex Morono.
Moontasri’s last win as a pro came at UFC 193 in November2015, where he defeated Anton Zafir by knockout, it was also his welterweight division debut.
