UFC Veteran Brendan Schaub Claims The MMAAA Has Over 200 Fighters Signed
Longtime UFC veteran Brendan Schaub has been retired for quite some time now, but still breaks the occasional news story, as he is now claiming that the Mixed Martial Arts Athletes Association (MMAAA) has over 200 fighters on board with it. Schaub also said that he is one of those.
"That Mixed Martial Arts Athletes Associations — which I'm a part of — they have over 200 fighters on board with it," Schaub said on The Joe Rogan Experience. “You know how Victor Conte was on on the dark side and then he came out,'I know how this shit works, now I'm going to tell what they're trying to do'? That's what Bjorn [Rebney] is doing. I was suspect when I saw Bjorn, then when I talked to Tim Kennedy and that motherf-cker talked me into running through a wall."
Schaub is the first MMA fighter that isn’t a part of the original members of the MMAAA board (TJ Dillashaw, Cain Velasquez, Georges St. Pierre, Tim Kennedy & Donald Cerrone) to declare that he has signed on with the association.
St. Pierre has also been attempting to contact fighters to join the association, including Twitter.
To all UFC fighters – Many of you are reaching out. Follow us @themmaaa and we’ll DM you ASAP.

The MMAAA hasn't released a roster thus far, but did tell Fightful that they've been sent a cease and desist order from lawyers in regards to contacting fighters, which they plan to ignore.
