Play-by-Play
(#7) Rafael dos Anjos vs. (#10) Rafael Fiziev
Round One – Fiziev opens the action with a side kick to the body. RDA comes back with a body kick of his own and Fiziev counters with another as he lands a front kick to RDA’s mid-section. RDA marches forward and lands a 1-2, Fiziev with another body kick, RDA dives in for a takedown but Fiziev retreats to the cage and RDA clinches. RDA with a knee to the leg while clinched up, Fiziev holds firm and breaks off the cage and lands a 1-2 on the break. RDA lands a leg kick then goes for another takedown but Fiziev stymies the attempt as RDA clinches. Fiziev forces the break and lands a 1-2, then a low kick at the horn, which ends the opening frame.
Round Two – Fiziev with a 1-2, then a right hook and rips a left hook to the body to open round number two. Fiziev accidentally pokes RDA but the fight is quickly resumed by referee, Mark Smith. RDA clinches, Fiziev slides out but eats a 1-2 and a leg kick from RDA, who then goes for and gets the takedown. Fiziev immediately gets back to the feet after a scramble but RDA clinches him against the fence. Fiziev lands a lighting quick 1-2 then a straight right followed by a stabbing front kick to the body and RDA nails Fiziev with a right hook at the horn and this one is headed to round number three.
Round Three – Fiziev with another kick to the body to start. RDA dives in for a takedown but to no avail. RDA clinches and hops on Fiziev’s back and kicks Fiziev’s legs out from underneath him and gets this one to the mat but Fiziev gets right back up. RDA goes right back for another takedown but Fiziev slides out of danger. Leg kicks are exchanged, Fiziev ducks under an overhand left from RDA and lands a 1-2 then a leg kick as the buzzer sounds that sends this one to main event rounds.
Round Four – Fiziev with yet another body kick to start. RDA clinches and Mark Smith quickly calls for the action to continue as not much is happening. RDA goes right back in with the clinch, Fiziev reverses momentum and now has RDA clinched against the fence. RDA breaks and looks for a flying knee but Fiziev blocks and cracks the former champion with a 1-2, RDA shoots for a takedown but Fiziev sprawls and clicks RDA with a right hook then a 1-2 as RDA counters with a left elbow that lands at the horn and this one is headed to the fifth and final round.
Round Five – Fiziev opens the final frame with how he’s started nearly every other round and that’s with a body kick. Fiziev narrowly misses a flying knee but cracks RDA with a left hook that drops him and Fiziev rushes over to RDA and lands a flurry and referee Mark Smith waves this one off!

Caio Borralho vs. Armen Petrosyan
Round One – Armen with a low kick to start. Caio immediately goes for a level change and gets it. Caio looks for the back, Armen defends, Caio continues to swirl around for the back, Armen kicks himself off the fence but Caio maintains his position and the buzzer sounds to end a relatively uneventful opening frame.
Round Two – Armen with another leg kick to start. Armen follows it up with a head kick but Caio blocks and gets Armen right back to the mat with a slick double leg takedown. Caio immediately gets side control then transitions to full Mount but Armen does a nice job of scrambling back to guard. Caio locks in a guillotine choke, Armen scrambles and powers back to the feet. Armen with a pair of low kicks then lands a straight left but Caio dives in for another double leg and drags Armen right back down to the mat. Caio looks for a choke but he runs out of time as the horn sounds and this one is headed to the third and final round.
Round Three – Armen with a side kick to the body to start. Armen goes back to the well and lands a pair of kicks to Caio’s lead leg. Caio looks for another takedown but Armen holds firm and shoves Caio back to keep this one on the feet for the time being. Caio clinches and lands a pair of shots while clinched up against the fence. Caio jumps to the back but falls down to the mat and Armen lands a leg kick to a downed Caio. Back on the feet, Armen lands a 1-2, Caio clinches, Armen breaks out and looks for a hail mary head kick but to no avail and the buzzer sounds to send this one to the judge’s scorecards.
Result: Caio Borralho def. Armen Petrosyan via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
Douglas da Silva Andrade vs. Said Nurmagomedov
Round One – Said goes for a spinning back fist right off the bat but Andrade evades and initiates the clinch. Andrade has Said against the fence but Said shoves him aside and circles back to the center of the octagon. Andrade lands a pair of leg kicks, Said comes back with one up high and it’s partially blocked by Andrade. Said missed another spin attempt, Andrade also whiffs on a spinning attack and Said lands a perfectly timed takedown at the buzzer and this one is headed to round number two.
Round Two – Said opens with a low kick then a side kick to the body. Said lands a 1-2 then another leg kick that trips Andrade to the mat. Andrade pops right back up to his feet but Said whips him with a side kick to the body. Said partially lands a high kick then lands another side kick to the body, then lands a second to boot. Andrade cracks Said with a right hook and tosses Said to the mat but the time runs out as this one is headed to the third and final round.
Round Three – Said goes for yet another spinning back kick but Andrade avoids and clinches. Said pushes off and Andrade kicks Said below the belt but the fight is quickly resumed by referee, Herb Dean. A wild back-and-forth from both competitors ensues and Said rocks Andrade with a spinning back fist. Said goes for another spinning attack but Andrade has some good defense but the buzzer sounds and this one is headed to the judge’s scorecards.
Result: Said Nurmagomedov def. Douglas da Silva Andrade via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)
Jared Vanderaa vs. Chase Sherman
Round One – Sherman opens the action with a jab. Sherman cracks Vanderaa with a right hook and follows it up with a low kick. Sherman with another leg kick, Vanderaa lands a side kick to the body and Sherman goes back to the leg with yet another low kick. Sherman lands a 1-2 then snaps Vanderaa’s head back with a jab before landing a pair of kicks to Vanderaa’s lead leg. Sherman ducks under a left hook from Vanderaa then belts him with a right hook to the chest. Vanderaa lands an uppercut, Sherman responds with a 1-2 then a side kick to the body. Sherman rips a right hook to the body, Vanderaa pops the jab and Sherman goes back to work on Vanderaa’s lead leg. Sherman lands a side kick to the body but Vanderaa rocks him with a right hook then chops at Sherman’s lead leg. Vanderaa with a 1-2, Sherman lands a jab, Vanderaa whips Sherman with a low kick, then another and Sherman rips a right hook to the body. Sherman cracks Vanderaa with a right hook at the buzzer but this one is headed to round number two.
Round Two – Sherman with a 1-2 to start. Vanderaa returns fire with a left hook then an overhand right. Sherman backs Vanderaa up with a right hook but eats a jab in response. Vanderaa with another jab, then another, then a third, Sherman jabs and Vanderaa lands a low kick. Sherman lands a straight left to the body, Vanderaa partially lands a left hook then pops the jab and rocks Sherman with a left hook but Sherman comes back with a right hook and Vanderaa whiffs on an overhand left. Sherman goes back to the well with the leg kick then pops the jab but eats one form Vanderaa. Sherman with a low kick, Vanderaa with another jab, Sherman lands a 1-2 then rips a left hook to the body before whiffing on an uppercut. Sherman with a straight left, Vanderaa lands a right hook then another and just misses an elbow. Vanderaa whiffs on a head kick, Sherman lands a kick to Vanderaa’s lead leg but Sherman wallops him with a right hook. Vanderaa with another leg kick, then a jab and a side kick to the body before ending the round with yet another low kick at the horn and this one is headed to the third and final round.
Round Three – Vanderaa lands a low kick to start the final frame. Vanderaa opens up with a 1-2 then a side kick to the body before popping the jab. Sherman lands a 1-2 then follows it up with a leg kick of his own. Vanderaa plants yet another kick to Sherman’s lead leg, who does the same then goes up top with a 1-2 that lands on Vanderaa. Sherman ducks under a wild left hook from Vanderaa and lands a straight right. Sherman with a low kick, Vanderaa whiffs on a left hook but lands a jab then a straight left. Vanderaa lands a straight right then a pair of jabs, then a right hook but Sherman wallops Vanderaa with a counter right hook that stuns him. Vanderaa rips a right hook to the body followed by 1-2, also to the body and Sherman whiffs on an overhand right. Vanderaa lands a 1-2 then a low kick and grabs Sherman where he lands an uppercut but Sherman wallops him with a 1-2 and pours it on, referee Mark Smith is keeping a close eye on this one and Sherman drops Vanderaa with a flurry and a final right hand and Smith waves this one off!
