Highlights

(#5) Vicente Luque vs. (#6) Belal Muhammad

Round One – Luque with a jab to start. Muhammad responds with a 1-2 then a kick to the body…then another. Muhammad lands a third body kick, Luque fires off a left hook, then a right hook and Muhammad lands a perfectly timed takedown. Muhammad lands a few shots, Luque scrambles, Muhammad latches onto the back, Luque uses the cage to get back to his feet and shakes Muhammad off of his back. Muhammad goes for a last-second head kick but whiffs and the horn sounds to end the opening frame.

Round Two – Luque pops off the jab to start. Luque looks for a kick to the body but Muhammad blocks and drills Luque with a 1-2. Muhammad works the jab, then lands another combo. Luque lands a low kick, Muhammad lands one of his own and Luque comes back with a kick to the body. Muhammad shoots for a takedown and gets it. Luque immediately scrambles and scoots to the fence and gets back to his feet. Muhammad clinches, Luque tries to slide out and does and Muhammad lands a body kick at the buzzer and this one is headed to round number three.

Round Three – Luque with a leg kick, Muhammad misses an overhand right and Luque fires off a 1-2. Luque rips a left hook to the body, then goes up top with a right hook that lands, Muhammad clinches, Luque powers out and lands a 1-2 to the body. Muhammad lands a left hook, Luque lands a leg kick, Muhammad trips Luque to the mat and gets full guard. Luque fires some shots from his back and uses it to get back to his feet. Muhammad lands a left, Luque lands a 1-2 and just misses a flying knee at the horn and this one is headed to main event rounds.

Round Four – Luque with a right hook, Muhammad with a left hook, Luque with a low kick, then another and then a 1-2. Muhammad trips Luque to the mat and gets another takedown and starts to throw some ground-and-pound. Luque scrambles and gets back to his feet and lands a left hook then a leg kick. Luque lands a body kick, then a right jab and a left hook. Muhammad pops off the jab then a 1-2 and the buzzer sounds to send this one to the fifth and final round.

Round Five – Muhammad drills Luque with a right hook then dives down for a takedown but Luque stuffs it. Muhammad lands a kick to the body, Luque responds with a pair of leg kicks, Muhammad dives in for another takedown, Luque grabs the neck and looks for the guillotine but Muhammad slides out and gets back to the feet. Muhammad immediately shoots for another takedown and drops Luque to a knee, Muhammad gets the back but Luque stands and shakes him off. Luque with a low kick, Muhammad counters with a 1-2 then a body kick and the horn sounds that’ll send this one to the judge’s scorecards. 

Result: (#6) Belal Muhammad def. (#5) Vicente Luque via unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-47)

Caio Borralho vs. Gadzhi Omargadzhiev

Round One – Borralho with a low kick to start. Borralho lands another leg kick and Gadzhi counters with a 1-2. Borralho goes for another low kick but Gadzhi catches it and gets this one to the mat. Borralho sweeps and gets top control an unloads an elbow. Borralho gets to his feet but readjusts and gets side control. Borralho transitions, gets Mount and lands another elbow and rides out the rest of the round in top control.

Round Two – Gadzhi whiffs on an overhand right as the round opens. Borralho with a front-kick to the body then a knee to the body also lands. Borralho drills Gadzhi with a left hook that drops the latter to a knee. Borralho gets the back and looks for the rear-naked choke. Gadzhi scrambles but Borralho keeps the back with a body triangle. Borralho continues to look for the choke, Gadzhi fights the hands and survives until to horn sounds and this one is headed to the third and final round.

Round Three – Gadzhi just misses a 1-2 to start. Gadzhi initiates the clinch and lands a knee to Borralho’s body. Gadzhi looks for another knee but it’s too low and Borralho needs a second to recover. The fight is quickly resumed and Gadzhi’s throwing heat to look for a finish but Borralho lands a flying knee then a right hook that stuns Gadzhi. Borralho trips Gadzhi to the mat, Gadzhi looks for a leg-lock, Borralho slides out and gets back to his feet. Borralho quickly gets Gadzhi back down, Gadzhi gets right back up but an illegal strike from Borralho sees a point get taken. The round ends after Gadzhi recovers and this one is headed to the judge’s scorecards.

Result: Caio Borralho def. Gadzhi Omargadzhiev via unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27)

Miguel Baeza vs. Andre Fialho

Round One – Fialho with a low kick to start. Baeza returns fire with a leg kick of his own and then drills Fialho with a 1-2 after the latter missed another low kick. Baeza with another leg kick then whiffs on a left hook and Fialho lands a pair of leg kicks in response. Baeza fires off a bevy of shots and Fialho’s stunned but the latter regains his batting’s and drills Baeza with an overhand right. Fialho clinches, then sends Baeza to the mat with a left hook and Fialho follows-up with a number of ground-and-pound shots and referee Mark Smith has seen enough. What a performance from Andre Fialho!

Result: Andre Fialho def. Miguel Baeza via TKO (punches) (4:39, R1)

Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Wu Yanan

Round One – Silva with a low kick to start. Yanan comes back with a front-kick to the body. Silva with another low kick but Yanan comes back and fires off a 1-2 and another kick to the body. Silva with a right hook that drops Yanan but Silva allows her back to the feet. Yanan appears to be recovered and lets off a 1-2, Silva comes back with a combo of her own and clinched Yanan against the fence. Silva lands a low kick, Yanan forces Silva off her with an elbow then a low kick of her own and Silva drills Yanan with a straight right at the buzzer and this one is headed to round number two.

Round Two – Silva with a low kick and a follow-up right hook to start. Yanan with a 1-2, then another and Silva just misses a high kick and Yanan trips her to the mat. Silva quickly locks-in a triangle choke, Yanan scrambles and gets back to her feet but quickly jumps back on top of Silva, who looks for a kimura but Yanan punches her way out of danger and the pair get back to their feet. Silva clinches, Yanan with a 1-2 to the body whilst locked up, Silva with a straight left in response and the horn sounds to send this one to the third and final round.

Round Three – Yanan wobbles Silva with a head kick and Silva falls to a knee. Silva regains her balance and fires off a 1-2. Yanan whiffs on an overhand right but pops off the jab right behind. Yanan lands another combo, Silva with a straight left, Yanan with a side-kick to the body, Silva with another left and Yanan fires off another 1-2 that both land. Silva yells at Yanan to come forward, Yanan obliges and lands a right hook. Silva rips a left hook to the body and the buzzer sounds which will send this one to the judge’s scorecards.

Result: Mayra Bueno Silva def. Wu Yanan via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
