Curtis Blaydes (2) vs. Derrick Lewis (4)
Round One: The main event between two of the best heavyweights in the world between second-ranked Curtis Blaydes and fourth-ranked Derrick Lewis is officially underway after a touch of the gloves. Lewis lands a massive right hook that stumbles Blaydes but he’s able to gather himself and circle back to the center of the octagon. Blaydes throws a left jab that lands flush and follows it up with a kick to the lead leg of Lewis, who narrowly misses a head kick as well as a front kick to the body. Lewis throws a wild combination and Blaydes lands a right hook that stops Lewis in his path. Blaydes starts chewing up the lead leg of Lewis, who slipped and potentially hurt his leg, at least for a moment. Blaydes lands a left jab and follows it up with a right hook that sends Lewis back towards the cage. Blaydes stuns Lewis with a right hook, an elbow and ends the combination with a knee to the body. Blaydes lands yet another left jab but then oddly almost slaps Lewis who caught a finger to the eye and referee Herb Dean steps-in, Lewis recovers, the fight resumes but the buzzer sounds for the end of the round.
Round Two: The second round begins and Blaydes is again warned by referee Herb Dean for an eye poke. The fight resumes and Blaydes grabs Lewis by the leg but Lewis is able to stymie the takedown attempt and circle back to the center of the octagon. Blaydes goes in wildly for a double leg takedown but Lewis absolutely blasts him with a right uppercut that knocks Blaydes unconscious and this one is over. What a win for Derrick Lewis.

Ketlen Vieira (6) vs. Yana Kunitskaya (7)
Round One: The women’s bantamweight division has the co-marquee of the evening in the form of sixth-ranked Ketlen Vieira taking on seventh-ranked Yana Kunitskaya. The fight is officially underway and Vieira lands a left hook that sends Kunitskaya to the fence and Vieira locks in the clinch. Vieira drags Kunitskaya to the mat but Kunitskaya gets right back to her feet and lands a pair of knees to the midsection of Vieira that allows her to reverse momentum and she gets Vieira against the fence. Kunitskaya lands another knee to the body but Vieira uses it to her advantage and drags the fight back to the mat. Vieira unloads a few shots of ground and pound and then gets to full mount with almost a full two minutes to work. Vieira lands a few more shots of ground and pound as the buzzer sounds and the opening frame comes to a close.
Round Two: Round number two begins with Vieira being on the aggressive and latches onto Kunistkaya and gets the clinch against the fence. Kunitskaya ends up tripping Vieira to the mat and the Russian-born contender ends up on top. Vieira teases a number of submission attempts but Kunitskaya is alert to the threat and is able to settle into Vieira’s full guard. Vieira rolls into an arm-bar attempt, transitions into a heel hook and uses the hold to get back to her feet. Kunitskaya lands a knee to Vieira’s body but the Brazilian drags the fight back to the ground but Kunitskaya gets right back to her feet and trips Vieira up and ends up on top where she lands knees to the Vieira’s thighs, drops a few elbows to the body but they both scramble to the feet and Kunitskaya narrowly misses a head kick but lands a kick to Vieira’s calf as the buzzer sounds and the co-main event will see a third and final round.
Round Three: The final frame is underway and Vieira immediately explodes for a perfectly timed double leg takedown to get the fight back to the ground. Vieira gets to half guard and lands a couple shots of ground and pound while teasing a head and arm choke. Kunitskaya rolls to her side but Vieira is able to lock in the choke attempt but only for a moment before Kunitskaya rolls to her side and loosens the hold. Kunitskaya uses the fence to sit up but Vieira rolls to her back as the clock ticks under two minutes remaining in this co-feature. Kunitskaya lands a few punches from her back, Vieira tries to roll into an arm-bar but Kunitskaya rolls to top control and lands massive elbows as the buzzer sounds and this battle of two women’s bantamweight contenders will head to the judge’s scorecards.
Result – Yana Kunitskaya def. Ketlen Vieira via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Charles Rosa vs. Darrick Minner
Round One: This one gets officially underway as the pair trade lead leg kicks and Minner latches onto Rosa and teases a guillotine attempt but Rosa is is able to sneak out of it. Minner throws a right hook that lands but eats a left hook from Rosa in response. Rosa lands another left hook that catches the attention of Minner then lands a kick to the body but Minner catches it and drags Rosa down to the mat and ends up on top in half guard. The two BJJ black belts scramble and Minner ends up in side control before Rosa is able to get Minner back to half guard but ends up giving up his back after another scramble. Rosa teases a knee-bar but eats a few shots of ground and pound from Minner and loosens the hold. Minner momentarily gets to full mount but Rosa scrambles his way back to full guard but ends up getting rolled up and Minner gets his back. Rosa is able to get out of danger for the time being and gets to full guard. Minner nicely transitions into side control, Rosa teases a heel hook but Minner rolls out of danger as the buzzer sounds and the opening frame comes to a close.
Round Two: The second round opens with Minner drilling Rosa with a left hook that sends him to the canvas and goes for the finish but Rosa is able to latch onto Minner long to enough to at least partially recover but Minner ends up in full mount. Rosa scrambles and the pair are now in north-south and Rosa tries for an arm-bar but Minner is alert to it and pushes out of danger but Rosa then goes for a triangle-choke but Minner is able to get out of danger yet again and ends up in full guard. Minner gets back to full mount and drops a couple elbows that allows him to transition to side control, where he lands another heavy elbow. Rosa explodes back to his feet but Minner is now grasped onto his back and drags Rosa back to the mat, where he ends up in half guard. Minner goes for a head and arm choke but Rosa scrambles out and goes for an arm-bar but Minner again gets out of trouble and ends up in side control. Rosa locks in an arm-bar out of nowhere but the buzzer sounds and round number two comes to an end.
Round Three: The final round begins and Minner clips Rosa with a right hook and uses the momentum to get the fight back to the mat, where he ends up in side control. Rosa rolls out but Minner ends up with control of his back and Minner lands a few shots of ground and pound. Rosa rolls into a kimura attempt but has to give up the hold when he eats an elbow to the face. Rosa again tries to roll into an arm-bar but Minner is able to use the fence to get out of danger. An elbow from Minner opens up a gash on Rosa’s forehead. Minner teases a north-south choke but uses the hold to take Rosa’s back. Rosa lands a few elbows from the bottom but Minner holds on, the buzzer sounds and this ground-heavy battle is going to the judge’s scorecards.
Result – Darrick Minner def. Charles Rosa via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 29-27)
Aleksei Oleinik (10) vs. Chris Daukaus
Round One: The second of three heavyweight clashes on the main card is officially underway between the 10th-ranked Aleksei Oleinik and surging prospect Chris Daukaus. Oleinik missed a left hook and Daukaus gets Oleinik pressed against the cage and Oleinik drags Daukaus down to the mat and pulls guard, Daukaus scrambles to the feet and lands a right hook that gets Oleinik to the fence but the Russian-born veteran escapes danger for the moment by landing a left hook of his own. Daukaus unloads and a massive straight right that stuns Oleinik, Daukaus lands about a dozen punches to a barely standing Oleinik and referee Herb Dean has seen enough. Chris Daukaus gets the biggest win of his career and will surely have a number next to his name, next week. What a performance for the Philadelphia-native.

Phil Hawes vs. Nassourdine Imavov
Round One: This middleweight battle is officially underway and Hawes opens up with a kick to Imavov’s lead leg that lands then Imavov returns the favor. Hawes lands a counter right hook off of a Imavov left hook that just misses. Imavov initiates the clinch but Hawes is the one to get the momentum and push Imavov against the fence. Hawes teases a level change and Imavov lands a knee to the body for his troubles. Hawes gets a couple of foot stomps to land, Imavov lands an elbow but that’s the opening Hawes needed to successfully land a takedown. Imavov teases a kimura but Hawes transitions out of danger and lands a few heavy shots of ground and pound as the opening rounds comes to an end.
Round Two: Round number two gets started with Hawes going right after Imavov with the clinch and gets Imavov against the fence. Imavov again goes for an elbow in the clinch but Hawes capitalizes and gets the takedown by Imavov gets right back up to his feet and explodes out of the clinch. Imavov drills Hawes with a left hook but Hawes times a double leg takedown perfectly and drags Imavov to the mat. Imavov gets back to his feet but Hawes keeps him close to the vest and against the cage before dragging Imavov back down to the mat and ends up in Imavov’s half guard. Imavov lands a few elbows from his back that land but Hawes makes him pay with a few shots of ground and pound as the buzzer sounds and the pair trade some words before heading back to their respective corners before the third and final round.
Round Three: The final frame opens with Hawes exploding for another perfectly time takedown. Imavov gets back to the feet but still has Hawes stuck to his back against the fence. Imavov is able to get back to the center of the octagon but eats a straight right from Hawes. Imavov’s lead leg gets chewed up with a pair of kicks from Hawes and Imavov narrowly misses a left hook which allows Hawes to get another clinch locked up. Imavov lands a heavy right hook that stuns Hawes, follows it up with a knee and an elbow and continues to pour it on with a pair of right uppercuts but Hawes is able to momentarily escape danger and lock up another clinch against the fence. Imavov lands an elbow but Hawes refuses to let go but Imavov lands a knee that forces Hawes back and Imavov starts throwing wildly and a nearly knocked out but still standing Hawes wobbles into Imavov against the fence as the buzzer sounds and this one is somehow going to the judge’s scorecards.
Result – Phil Hawes def. Nassourdine Imavov via majority decision (28-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Andrei Arlovski vs.Tom Aspinall
Round One: The classic matchup of grizzled old veteran against the up-and-comer looking to make a name for himself kicks-off the main card in the form of former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski against top prospect, Tom Aspinall. Aspinall lands a kick to the lead leg of Arlovski then narrowly escapes a blitz in the form of a right hook from Arlovski. Aspinall eats a 1-2 to the body from Arlovski before drilling the former champion with a kick to the lead leg yet again. Aspinall lands a massive right hook then pours it on with combinations to Arlovski who’s stuck up against the fence, referee Mark Smith threatens to stop the fight but Arlovski is able to get Aspinall clinched up to temporarily avoid being stopped. Aspinall pushes Arlovski off, circles back to the center of the octagon and lands a kick to Arlovski’s lead leg. Arlovski rushes towards Aspinall and lands a left hook which forced Aspinall to initiate the clinch and get Arlovski against the fence. A cut on the bridge of Arlovski’s nose has opened up, courtesy of the earlier barrage from Aspinall. The British-prospect lands a pair of knees to Arlovski’s thigh but the veteran is able to circle back to the center of the octagon where the pair trade massive right hooks before the buzzer rounds and the opening frame comes to a close.
Round Two: The second round begins and Arlovski just misses a front kick then unloads a powerful 1-2 to Aspinall that finds a home. Aspinall blitzes Arlovski, successfully lands a double leg takedown and immediately locks-in the rear-naked choke and quickly gets the tap. What a win for the prospect now turned contender, Tom Aspinall.
