UFC President Speaks About Brock Lesnar And CM Punk’s UFC Future

The UFC is facing some uncertainty heading into 2017 off the heels of one of their most successful PPV years ever. But even UFC President Dana White doesn't know the status of a couple of former wrestlers turned UFC cash cows.

TMZ spoke to Dana White and asked him where Brock Lesnar's head is at, and if he'll fight again.

"I doubt it. I don’t know how much longer he’s got with WWE. I think his career is winding down but he’s a freak of nature. Who knows, maybe he’ll give me a call and say he wants to do it again but I think he’s ready to ride off into the sunset," said White.

Following his UFC 200 victory (now a no-contest) over Mark Hunt, Brock Lesnar failed a series of drug tests, and was subsequently suspended until July 2017.

Another former WWE Champion in CM Punk claims he wants to fight again, but White is concerned for his health.

"I don’t know. I’ve got to talk to him and see how this thing works out for him. UFC’s a dangerous place, man. It really is. It’s a tough place to come in for your first couple fights. I give him all the credit and respect in the world for coming in and giving it a shot. It’s a tough place to do it though. But we’ll see what happens. I love the guy," said White.

Punk hasn't fought since losing to Mickey Gall via submission at UFC 203 in September. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar is scheduled for the 2017 Royal Rumble in January.
