UFC Nashville Takes Shape With Three New Female Fights: Randa Markos, JJ Aldrich, Alexis Davis, More
UFC Nashville is taking shape as quickly as it was officially announced.
Several fights were rumored and announced before the show actually was, but UFC didn’t hesitate to put their foot forward with three new female bouts during the UFC Brooklyn broadcast for the March 23 show on ESPN+
#14 Strawweight Randa Markos looks to get back on the winning track as she takes on former Invicta FC Champion Angela Hill. Markos went to a draw in her last bout, a three round affair against Mariana Rodriguez in Brazil last September, and has never put together a two-fight winning streak outside of The Ultimate Fighter House. Including TUF, she does boast wins over Felice Herrig, Tecia Torres and Carla Esparza. Hill also looks to get in the win column, as she dropped a split decision to Cortney Casey in August.
The JJ Aldrich hype train looks to continue to roll on, when she tries to put her fourth consecutive UFC win together against Maycee Barber. A Contender Series veteran, the 20-year old Barber debuted in the UFC in November with a TKO win over Hannah Cifers.
Former UFC title challenger and #5 Flyweight Alexis Davis looks to get closer to a title shot in her new division by defeating #11 Jennifer Maia. Davis broke a two fight winning streak in a unanimous decision loss to Katlyn Chookagian back in July 2018, while Maia lost her debut to Liz Carmouche that same month.
UFC Nashville takes place on March 23, and will be broadcast by ESPN+. Fightful will have full, live coverage of the show, headlined by Stephen Thompson vs. Anthony Pettis.
