Play-by-Play
(#6) Alexander Volkov vs. (#11) Tom Aspinall
Round One – Aspinall with a three-punch combo to open, which all land. Aspinall lands a straight right, Volkov with a low kick and Aspinall dives in and lands a perfectly timed takedown. Aspinall gets to side control and starts unloading elbows that opens up a cut on the side of Volkov’s right eye. Aspinall reigns down elbows, then right hooks, then some lefts, Volkov scrambles, Aspinall looks for the kimura, Volkov uses the fence to get back to his feet. Aspinall with a stabbing front-kick to the body then an overhand right that both land. Aspinall with a low kick then slips to the mat, Volkov laughs, Aspinall back to the feet, blocks a kick from Volkov and uses it to send the big man right back to the mat. Aspinall advanced and lands some shots to the body and locks-in the arm-bar and Volkov immediately taps! What a performance by Tom Aspinall!

(#7) Arnold Allen vs. (#8 LW) Dan Hooker
Round One – Hooker with a front-kick to the body to start. Hooker with a left that lands, then a low kick that also finds a home. Allen with a straight left, Hooker fires back with one of his own. Allen cracks Hooker with a left, then unloads a barrage of lefts and rights, seemingly all of which lands, a 1-2 cracks Hooker again, Hooker’s somehow still on his feet, Allen lands a right hook, Hooker’s nose is busted open and both of his eyes are showing some swelling. Hooker with a low kick, Allen counters with one of his own and drills Hooker with a left hook, then a high kick and unloads once again and an elbow cracks Hooker and this one is waved off! Statement performance by Arnold Allen!

Paddy Pimblett vs. Kazula Vargas
Round One – Both come out swinging, Vargas partially lands a right, Pimblett loses his footing and Vargas ends up with top control. Vargas lands a shot from the top, Pimblett returns with a side-fist from the back. Vargas looks to advance, Pimblett’s doing a good job to defend and isolating Vargas’ right arm. Not much action as both men look to avoid a mistake, Vargas lands a left to the body, Pimblett slides himself up the cage and gets back to his feet. Vargas stays clinched, Pimblett with a knee to the body, Vargas has Pimblett’s right left stuck in-between both of his and keeps wrist control but Paddy with a hip toss out of nowhere and gets Vargas to the mat. Pimblett gets the back, Vargas tries to fight the wrists, Pimblett lands a 1-2, Vargas turns, Pimblett locks in the rear-naked choke, Vargas tries to fight the hands but he taps! Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett with the first-round finish and this London crowd goes absolutely crazy for the hometown boy! Molly McCann rushes the cage and it’s a party at the O2!

Gunnar Nelson vs. Takashi Sato
Round One – Nelson with a leg kick to start, then goes high but it’s blocked by Sato. Nelson lands a straight right that stuns Sato, Nelson with a low kick and Nelson cracks Sato with a kick to the ribs. Nelson latches on, Sato slides out, Nelson clinches back up but Sato turns ‘Gunni’ to the side yet again. Nelson grabs the back of the neck, Sato rips a right hook to the body, Nelson breaks and latches back on but Sato is alert and slides out. Nelson stays on the attack for a takedown and this time, he gets Sato to the mat and immediately gets his back. Nelson works the hands and unloads some shots to the side of the head to try and loosen him up. Sato rolls, Nelson keeps his position on the back, continues with the strikes, the body-lock is tight, he gets a hook in, Nelson continues with the strikes, starts fighting the hands and looks for the choke but he runs out of time and the horn sounds to send this one to round number two.
Round Two – Nelson with a high kick to open. Not much going on for the first-minute or so of the round, Nelson cracks Sato with a straight right and then another stalemate for the next 30-or-so seconds. Sato with a low kick, Nelson tries to grab the neck, he can’t, Sato with a right, Nelson dives for a double-leg and gets the takedown. Nelson settles in, in side control, Sato with some elbows from his back, Sato scrambles, Nelson gets the back, Sato scoots to the fence to try and not allow Nelson to get any hooks in. Nelson slowly grabs Sato’s neck and full gets the back and starts reigning down some heavy side punches. Nelson looks for the choke, Sato tucks the chin, Nelson keeps landing strikes, Sato seems content to eat them and just not give up the choke and the buzzer sounds to send this one to the third and final round.
Round Three – Nelson with an uppercut and goes for another takedown, Sato holds his balance, Nelson with a knee to the body but Sato avoids the takedown. Nelson dives in and gets another takedown. Nelson ends up with back control and picks right up where he left off with the previous two rounds and unloads strikes to the side of Sato’s head. Sato, again seems content to just get walloped by a number of strikes but just doesn’t want to give up the choke and Nelson seems content to just beat Sato down for as long as he allows it. Nelson starts mixing it up to the body, then the head, Nelson works the hands, tries to get under the chin, he sitches in a hook, gets under the chin, cranks the neck, lands some more shots but Sato avoids the choke. Nelson gets under the chin again but Sato fights it off and ends up not getting finished but the horn sounds and this lopsided bout is heading to the judge’s scorecards.

Molly McCann vs. Luana Carolina
Round One – McCann with a low kick to open, Carolina returns fire with a front-kick to the body, McCann catches it and shoved Carolina to the fence where she unloads a barrage of shots, Carolina covers up and clinches, McCann shoves get back, continues the attack then changes levels and Carolina stuffs the takedown and gets McCann pressed against the fence. McCann backs off, Carolina with a knee to the body on the break and then a low kick. McCann with an overhand right, a stabbing front-kick to the body from McCann finds a home and McCann initiates the clinch against the fence. Carolina slides out, McCann with a right hand, Carolina just missed a spinning-back kick, McCann rips a hook to the body then goes upstairs with a hook and it lands. Carolina with another body kick but McCann catches it again and shoves her to the fence and lands another flurry of shots, Carolina’s hurt but trying to move and ends up clinched up with McCann against the cage. Carolina with an elbow, McCann forces the break and continues the onslaught with a 1-2 to the body. McCann catches another kick and shoves Carolina back, Carolina with a low kick, McCann missed a spin-kick and the horn sounds to end a wild opening frame.
Round Two – Carolina with a side-kick to the body to open, McCann goes for the takedown and ends up clinched with Carolina against the fence. Carolina lands a knee to the body on the break, tries for a high kick but McCann avoids and rips a right hook to the body. McCann continues to work the body and lands a perfectly-timed takedown. McCann immediately gets to side control, then north/south and settles back in, in side control. McCann looks to isolate the arm, Carolina tries for a choke but McCann readjusts and asserts herself back in side control. McCann fires down an elbow across the bridge of Carolina’s nose and decides to get back up. McCann kicks Carolina’s legs before backing away to allow the Brazilian up. Carolina lands an elbow, McCann clinches, Carolina looks for a standing guillotine, McCann reapplies the clinch, Carolina continues to look for the choke, McCann breaks and rips a 1-2 to the body. Carolina partially lands a kick to the body, McCann with a right hook, Carolina with another elbow and McCann scoops her and sends her crashing to the canvas as the buzzer sounds to send this one to the third and final round.
Round Three – Carolina unloads a bevy of body kicks to open, then smirks at McCann before landing a 1-2 on the Brit. McCann clinches, Carolina lands an elbow and forces the break. Carolina with a 1-2 right down the pipe and McCann cracks Carolina with a spinning-back elbow that knocks her out cold! The crowd is in a frenzy, what a win for ‘Meatball’ Molly McCann.
