Deron Winn defeated Eric Spicely via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Deron Winn (5-0) vs. Eric Spicely (12-4)

Spicely lands a couple of nice strikes on the much smaller Winn. He lands the occasional jab but Winn opens up on him. Outside of a brief trip, that’s the only wrestling Winn has done. Spicely is a lot more live than most gave him credit for in this fight, and scores a big knee in the clinch. Spicely just isn’t giving Winn any respect, and is fighting like someone who got an extra chance in the UFC. Winn is doubling the strike output of Spicely, and Winn won’t die. Winn goes to the body of Spicely HEAVILY against the cage. Spicely stops a Winn takedown and has cracked Winn, leaving the latter retreating. These guys are slugging it out until the final bell. This is one of the best middleweight fights in 2019.

Winn admitted after the fight that he was rocked by Spicely’s knees, but took exception to everyone that said he was too small. He told everyone to watch his short little legs walk to the top of the division. Eric Spicely got cut from the UFC last August after three straight losses, then won a couple of fights in CES and took a short notice fight against Deron Winn. They tore the house down in a losing effort, and I get the feeling he’s not gonna get cut after the DW Twitter review

Official Result: Deron Winn defeated Eric Spicely via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Molly McCann (8-2) vs. Ariane Lipski (11-4)

Molly McCann has landed some good strikes, but Lipski hasn’t sold them at all. Lipski lands a big takedown and acknowledges a the crowd in a pretty cool moment. “Molly” chants breaks out. Why do so many UFC fighters hold on to the guillotine when their opponents are in side control, and why do almost no fighters go for the Von Flue in that situation? That’s the situation we see as McCann scores another takedown and some ground and pound. McCann had also wobbled Lipski with a head kick.

Lipski was a far too sizeable favorite for this fight, and McCann isn’t letting her have this one easily. McCann is massively over with the crowd and EARNED this win. What a performance from McCann.

Official Decision: Molly McCann defeated Ariane Lipski via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Allen Crowder (10-3, 1NC) vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik (7-0)

Rozenstruik just obliterates Crowder in eight seconds. KO. Out cold. Unbelievable. Second fastest knockout in UFC Heavyweight history. It was a counter left jab and that’s a wrap. Mother of god. 4.83 seconds from the time Rozenstruik and Crowder touched gloves to the time Crowder went out.

Official Result: Jairzinho Rozenstruik defeated Allen Crowder via knockout, round 1, 0:09

Matt Wiman (16-7) vs. Luis Pena (6-1)

Wiman last fought during the Civil War, I think. Pena opens up a cut above Wiman’s left eye immediately, and Wiman shoots a takedown and gets swept. Wiman goes for a kneebar, but Pena pounds his way out of it. This is how the entire fight goes. Pena just mollywhopped Wiman well into the third round. Pena calls it the toughest fight of his career, but Wiman had nothing for him. Wiman is pacing in the cage.

Official Decision: Luis Pena defeated Matt Wiman via TKO, round 1, 1:14

Ashley Yoder (6-4) vs. Syuri Kondo (6-2)

Kondo is a former CMLL wrestler, who has a best friend in AEW. If she doesn’t win this, I expect her to get cut and return to wrestling. Yoder pretty quickly takes her down. Yoder spends all of rounds one and two either on top Syuri or on her back. In the third round, Kondo briefly threatens with a guillotine/face crank. Yoder gets out of the choke, applies some ground and pound.

Ashley Yoder defeated Syuri Kondo via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-25, 30-24)

Dan Ige (11-2) vs. Kevin Aguilar (17-1)

Ige dropped Aguilar with a fantastic body kick to a hook combo. That easily took round one, but these two are fairly matched. Aguilar goes for a modified triangle in round two, and Ige drops him back in Sheamus’ White Noise WWE signature move. Aguilar ends the round on top, though. Ige and Aguilar are slugging it out, and Ige is getting the better of these exchanges in the third, dropping his opponent. It’s a surprise Aguilar was able to withstand that. Another really good fight.

Official Results: Dan Ige defeated Kevin Aguilar via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Kevin Holland (14-4) vs. Alessio Di Chirico (12-2)

Holland is just kind of chipping away at Alessio until the latter wobbles Holland. Holland overcompensates and goes a little wild in trying to overcome that late flurry in round one. Holland’s shoulder seems to be affecting him, and commentary is really playing it up. His corner is trying to hide it from the ref, too. With good reason, Holland could still win this one. Round three consists of the two kicking each other at range, and Di Chirico apparently having no clue of the injury in front of him.

Official Results: Kevin Holland defeated Alessio Di Chirico via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

#10 Andrea Lee (10-2) vs. #11 Montana De La Rosa (12-4)

A punch from Lee gets the attention of MDLR, who takes her down halfway through the round. Lee ends up snagging a takedown of her own to close the first round. Andrea Lee has some really good head movement deep into the second that helps set up her combos and clinch work. MDLR definitely looks more weathered. The third round sees Lee land a knee that causes her to get tripped up. MDLR goes for a guillotine and an armbar, but serves to get her pummeled from the top.

Official Result: #10 Andrea Lee defeated #11 Montana De La Rosa via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Andre Ewell (14-5) vs. Anderson Dos Santos (20-7)

Ewell is peppering away at Dos Santos, but this is one of those fights where ADS is giving away 2.5 strikes to get one back. Ewell is thoroughly dominating the striking exchanges in this, but Dos Santos won’t give up. Dos Santos makes a bit of a comeback in the third round, but it’s just not enough to overcome the lead.

Official Result: Andre Ewell defeated Anderson Dos Santos via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-27)

Bryan Barberena (14-6) vs. Randy Brown (10-3)

The co-main event UFC fans have waited years to see…………..Randy Brown vs. Bryan Barberena. Brown was listed as way too much of an underdog and shows why in the first round…..and the second round….and the third. Randy Brown put the pain on Barberena. Backed him up against the cage and unloaded a great combination that caused Barberena to crumble under the pressure.

Official Result: Randy Brown defeated Bryan Barberena via TKO, Round 3, 2:54

#5 Renato Moicano (13-2-1) vs. #12 Chan Sung Jung (14-5)

Korean Zombie steps in and blasts Moicano with the quickness. He takes Moicano’s back and uses ground and pound to finish the heavily favored opponent. Less than a minute. Amazing.

Official Result: #12 Chan Sung Jung defeated #5 Renato Moicano via TKO, round 3, 0:58
