UFC on FOX 31’s Andrea Lee Talks Jessica-Rose Clark, Training in California & Flyweight Division
Andrea Lee is back in action this coming December at UFC On Fox 31, facing Jessica-Rose Clark in a women’s flyweight division encounter.
The UFC star was involved in a domestic violence situation earlier this year with her husband, but that hasn’t stopped Lee from wanting to fight again by the end of 2018.
“The plan always was to take another fight before the end of the year, having something to focus on is always better than having a…what do they say about having an idle mind is the devil’s playground? I don’t have time to think about anything else other than I need to climb (up the rankings),” Lee says in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
Lee has competed just once before under the UFC banner, defeating Veronica Macedo by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Chile.
If Lee has one goal she’d like to accomplish at UFC On Fox 31, it would be to get everybody to focus on the fighting and not on the personal life issues.
“I see my hand getting raised, I think its gonna be exciting. I don’t want to necessarily say everything I plan on doing, but I want you all to look forward. I want everybody to be excited…to look forward to everything that I’ve been working on. I’m going to go out there and put on a show, I just want everyone to enjoy the fight and I hope this fight will get people talking about something else,” says Lee.
UFC On Fox 31 takes place on Saturday, December 15 from the Wisconsin Entertainment & Sports Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with Al Iaquinta and Kevin Lee headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
