UFC On Fox 30 Overnight Ratings Are In & They Aren’t Good
UFC On Fox 30 took place this past Saturday Night, with Dustin Poirier defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez in the main event.
The overnight ratings are in and the show brought in an average of 1,461,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting, which is the lowest rating ever out of all thirty UFC on Fox events. The previous low was 1,593,000 and that was held by UFC On Fox 27, which was headlined by Ronaldo Souza and Derek Brunson.
It should be noted that overnight ratings aren’t the full ratings for the show, which are generally released a few days after the event. The overnight ratings don’t measure the Pacific time zone, which means the ratings should be higher when that number comes out.
Despite having low overnight ratings, it was still a good night for Fox, which won the key 18-49 demographic with a 0.6 rating. Fox would also win the key 18-34 male demographic on Saturday Night, but would fall short in the 50+ demographic.
Up next for the UFC is UFC 227, with a four fight preliminary card airing live on FX, with Pedro Munhoz and Brett Johns in the featured position. The pay-per-view preliminary cards usually air live on Fox Sports 1 instead of FX, so the ratings could be affected by that change.
