UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg Attendance & Bonuses

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to the UFC’s second ever event in the country of Russia in the form of UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg. The event was headlined by a heavyweight division attraction that saw Alistair Overeem scored a first round TKO win over Aleksei Oleinik.

Bonuses were handed out for the event, with a total of four fighters picking up a sum of $200,000 in bonus money. Fight Of The Night bonuses went to Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan, while Performances Of The Night bonuses went to Magomed Mustafaev (who defeated Rafael Fiziev) and Sergei Pavlovich (who defeated Marcelo Golm).

The UFC’s second event in Russia, much like the first, was a sellout as a total of 7,236 fans attended the card in St. Petersburg. The live gate has not been announced at this time, which may be due to the exchange rate for the Russian currency compered to the American currency.

Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale, which is going to be headlined by a middleweight division attraction between Ronaldo Souza and Jack Hermansson. With thirteen fights currently scheduled for that card, expect a lot of competition for the $200,000 in bonus money.
