UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Olenik Main Card Highlights: Chris Weidman Wins Tough Decision, Beneil Dariush Lands Walk-Off KO

Chris Weidman def. Omari Akhmedov by unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-28)

Both men put on a hard grappling pace that slowed the fight down. Weidman arguably took the first round and Akhmedov responded strong in the second. Both middleweights were worn out by the exhausting style of the fight but the former UFC middleweight champion showed the determination to get Akhmedov down and ride top control for the decision win.

Darren Stewart def. Maki Pitolo by submission (guillotine choke), 3:41 of round one

Stewart earned the first submission win of his professional career with a nasty high-elbow guillotine over Pitolo. The tap out added a little diversity to a winning record that boasts eight knockouts.

Yana Kunitskaya def. Julija Stoliarenko by unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27)

It was not the most exciting affair but Kunitskaya showed off the skills that earned her a UFC women’s featherweight title fight against Cris Cyborg in March 2018. She held Stoliarenko on the fence and controlled her with grappling en route to an undisputable unanimous decision win.

Beniel Dariush def. Scott Holtzman by TKO (spinning back fist), 4:38 of round one

Dariush put his grappling credentials aside and dusted powerful striker Holtzman on Saturday. Dariush snatched “Hotsauce” in a muay thai clinch and throw a crunching knee that nearly dropped “Hotsauce”. Dariush continued to pour on the pressure and eventually landed a highlight reel, spinning back fist walk-off KO to kick-off the main card.
