Henry Cejudo Steamrolls TJ Dillashaw To Retain UFC Flyweight Title In UFC Brooklyn Superfight
The latest in a series of superfights went down at UFC’s ESPN and ESPN+ debuts with the fate of an entire division possibly at stake.
Ever since UFC Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo won the title from dominant champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson last year, the 125 pound division has been in question. While several fighters were released, the entire flyweight division wasn’t canned as many suspected. Instead, UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw was given a crack at the title.
Dillashaw had never fought as a Flyweight, but made the weight with ease. The fight itself was nothing nearing a success, as Cejudo quickly dropped Dillashaw and followed up with heavy strikes as the referee stepped in and called the end.
