UFC Atlantic City’s Corey Anderson “I’ve got a lot of hostility towards Patrick Cummins”

Corey Anderson and Patrick Cummins are perennial UFC top 15 light heavyweights who wanted to clash long ago, but are finally getting their chances in Atlantic City.

Anderson has hit a rough patch of late, losing two straight fights, and three of four after starting his UFC career 4-1. Anderson was scheduled to face Patrick Cummins back in November, but Cummins was replaced with Ovince Saint Preux after Cummins withdrew due to an infection. When speaking to Fightful.com's James Lynch, Anderson wasn't buying it as an excuse.

"He pulled out from the fight four weeks ahead of time. I've had staph in my leg, my arm. All kinds of stuff from rusty nails or whatever. You get the right kind of medicine you're back in a week. My mindset is that I have that loss to OSP because he bagged out. I've got a lot of hostility towards Pat," said Anderson.

Anderson pointed back at Patrick Cummins calling him out in 2014, and remembered wanting a fight with him back them. However, Anderson's manager Ali Abdelaziz said that Anderson had other fish to fry at the time. Since then, the men have reached an impasse, but still have issues that look to be resolved in Atlantic City next weekend.

"After he called me out, we saw each other at the Newark card, and he tried to say hi and be friendly like he didn't say anything. I'm not that type of person. I'm not fake. If you're going to have something to say, say the same thing when you see me to my face. When we meet up April 21st, it's time for him to get what's his," said Anderson.

In the full interview, Corey Anderson (9-4) discusses his upcoming fight against Patrick Cummins (10-4) at UFC Fight Night 128 on Apr. 21. Corey also talks about his loss to Ovince Saint Preux, his training camp for this fight and his love for hunting.
