UFC Announces Year End Rewards, Dana White & Fans To Choose Winners
The UFC has announced that a new year end award show will air later this year, with UFC President Dana White and the fans choosing the winners.
There are going to be a total of six awards handed out at the end of the year, with those awards being:
UFC Honors President’s Choice
UFC Performance of the Year
UFC Fight of the Year
UFC Honors Fan Choice
Toyo Tires’ UFC Knockout of the Year
Toyo Tires’ UFC Submission of the Year
Toyo Tires’ UFC Event of the Year
Toyo Tires’ UFC Comeback of the Year
White reveals that he and the fans are going to find it hard to pick a winner for each of the award categories.
“Every year, there are so many great fights and so many unbelievable performances in UFC,” White stated in a press release (via MMA Junkie). “It’s going to be almost impossible to pick the best, but I’m going to have fun trying. It’s also cool that the fans will get to vote in some categories, like ‘Knockout of the Year’ and ‘Event of the Year.’ Toyo Tires is a great partner and we’re looking forward to working with them on this.”
It is unknown at this time as to when the fan voting will begin or exactly when the awards will get handed out.
