UFC Announces New NSAC Rules: Instant Replay At Any Time And Second Official
UFC has announced robust new instant replay rules at UFC Vegas 12.
UFC commentators Brendan Fitzgerald and Michael Bisping were tasked with informing viewers about new instant replay rules implemented by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

“An official inside the Octagon can use replay at any point through the fight,” Fitzgerald explained. “There will be a review official. A designated rule official.”
The reviewing official will operate as a second set of eyes for the referee. A yellow light outside of the cage will be used to signal the referee in the cage should something need review; however, it is still at the referee’s decision when to halt the action. The in-cage official also has final say on all decisions.
Most interestingly, perhaps, is the confirmation that instant replay can be used at any point in the fight. There is no need for a fight-ending sequence and the referee can restart the fight at his discretion.
