UFC 258 Loses Another Bout On Fight Night
Gillian Robertson was forced to pull out of her Miranda Maverick on the same day as their scheduled fight at UFC 258.
UFC announced on Saturday the fight had been pulled from the card. Robertson subsequently apologized for exiting the planned match-up and elaborated on her condition.
“Heartbroken is the only way to describe it. After a great camp and an easy weight cut, I, unfortunately, woke up this morning at 4 a.m. vomiting and my condition has yet to improve,” Robertson wrote on her Instagram Story. “So for the first time in my career, my team has decided it would be best to pull me from this fight.”
“My greatest apologies to Miranda, I know how much you put into this and it would be an honor to share the Octagon with you in the future,” she continued. “I’m sorry to everyone I’m letting down, my team, my fans and the UFC. I wish I could have performed for you tonight.”
