UFC 252 Prelims Highlights: Vinc Pichel Earns Gritty Decision vs. Jim Miller

The UFC 252 preliminary card featured plenty of highlights, and you can relive all the best moments below.

Vinc Pichel def. Jim Miller by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-27)

Miller showed off his acclaimed grappling and veteran savvy by attempting submission-after-submission at UFC 252. Miller hunted a rear-naked choke, calf crusher and what looked to be a Peruvian neck-tie in round one. The second round was mostly contested on the ground but Pichel took charge, soaking up time on top. Round three was a competitive back-and-forth affair that Pichel closed off strong.

Virna Jandiroba def. Felice Herrig by submission, 1:44 of round one

Jandiroba surgically took down Herring, advances to mount and slapped on an armbar for the quick first-round submission.

Danny Chavez def. TJ Brown by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Chavez put in work against Brown. He chewed up Brown’s leg for much of the first round, dropping him multiple times. In the second, Chavez rifled a straight right that knocked down a compromised Brown and nearly finished him with strikes. Brown showed ultra toughness, kicking with his visibly damaged leg. An invigorated Brown poured it on Chavez in the third but Chavez punctuated his impressive performance with big german suplexes.

Livinha Renata Souza def. Ashley Yoder by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)

Souza out-grappled Yoder in a competitive fight with an almost identical significant strike total.

Chris Daukus def. Parker Porter by TKO, 4:28 of round one

Daukus showed off lightning-fast boxing in tight spaces, dropping Porter twice en route to a first-round finish.

Kai Kamaka III def. Tony Kelly by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Kamaka III and Kelly threw down the gauntlet in an early Fight of the Night candidate. Kamaka showed off superior striking and power in the first two rounds. Kelly came into the third round with volume and intensity but ultimately fell short on the judges’ scorecards.
