UFC 247: Jones vs. Reyes Gate, Attendance, And Bonus Information
The Octagon headed to Texas for UFC 247 and an event headlined by two title fights.
Taking place in the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, UFC 247 drew 17,401 fans for a gate of $3.55 million, marking a new record for the Toyota Center. The night was headlined by Jon Jones successfully defending his UFC Light Heavyweight Title against Dominick Reyes and a co-main event where Valentina Shevchenko defended her Women’s Flyweight Championship against Katlyn Chookagian.
The last time a UFC pay-per-view event took place in the Toyota Center was UFC 192, which was headlined by Daniel Cormier against Alexander Gustafsson. UFC 192 drew 14,622 fans for a gate of $1.859 million.
As far as bonuses go, James Krause and Trevin Giles took home the Fight of the Night bonus from their three-round scrap that was won by Giles. Khaos Williams won Performance of the Night bonus for his 27-second KO over Alex Morono. The other Performance of the Night bonus went to Mario Bautista for his first round TKO over Miles Johns.
