UFC 219 Preliminary Card Ratings In, Strong Finish For 2017

UFC 219 was the final UFC event of 2017, which saw Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino successfully defend the UFC Women’s Featherweight Title against former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm.

A four fight preliminary card also aired live on Fox Sports 1, drawing the fourth best number in 2017 for pay-per-view preliminary cards.

The four fight prelim card drew a total of 914,000 viewers, with Michal Olelsiejczuk defeating Khalil Rountree in the featured spot. Online numbers were good for the show as well, with 10,928 people checking out the bout on Fox Sports Go and/or Fox Now.

It was the featured fight between Oleksiejczuk and Rountree that drew the most viewers, with 998.000 viewers checking out the light heavyweight division affair.

Three more fights were a part of the preliminary card, which saw Myles Jury defeat Rick Glenn, Omari Akhmedov defeat Marvin Vettori and Matheus Nicolau defeat Louis Smolka.

Fox Sports 1 also aired a pre-fight show that drew 209,000 viewers, while the post-fight show that aired on FS1 drew 119,000 viewers. The ceremonial weigh-ins aired on Fox Sports 1 as well, drawing 138,000 viewers.

Up next for the UFC and Fox Sports 1 is UFC Fight Night St. Louis, which is going to be headlined by a pair of featherweights in Dooho Choi and Jeremy Stephens.
