Tyron Woodley Retains Welterweight Title At UFC 209
The rematch between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson is in the books. It was Woodley who retained the UFC Welterweight Title via a majority decision (48-47, 47-47, 48-47).
Woodley won what may go down as one of the most disappointing title fights in recent memory. With the fans in attendance jeering and booing the fighters for the 25 minutes they were in the Octagon.
Highlights were few and far between on this night, a Woodley takedown and a last minute barrage of strikes from the champion to the challenger is all the action UFC fans got.
