Two Title Fights Headlining Victory FC 56
A pair of title fights will be headlining this April’s Victory Fighting Championships 56 card as Rob Emerson defends the bantamweight title against Raufeon Stots and Kassius Holdorf defends the welterweight title against Yuri Villefort.
Emerson (18-11-0-1NC) will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending it against Ryan Roberts at Victory FC 54. Emerson won three of seven fights during his time in the UFC, with a notable win coming over Manny Gamburyan at UFC 87.
Stots (7-0-0) has already earned four wins in the Victory FC promotion, most notably defeating UFC veteran Jeff Curran at Victory FC 53. Stots also competed once in the Legacy Fighting Championships, defeating Mitch White at Legacy FC 43.
Holdorf (9-3-0) will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Maki Pitolo at Victory FC 54. Holdorf hasn’t put a winning streak together in well over a year.
Villefort (9-5-0) will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak, with those wins coming over Doug Jenkins, Kenneth Glenn and Cody Carrillo. Villefort fought twice in the UFC, with both of those fights being losses to Nah-Shon Burrell and Sean Spencer.
Victory Fighting Championships 56 takes place on Friday, April 14 from the Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska with Rob Emerson and Raufeon Stots headlining.
