Two Title Fights Headline CES MMA 42

Next month’s CES MMA 42 card will be headlined by two big title fights as Andre Andre Soukhamthath defends the bantamweight gold against Todd Gravely and Chris Curtis defends the welterweight title against Wilfredo Santiago.

Soukhamthath (11-3-0) will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending it against Kin Moy at CES MMA 37. Soukhamthath has actually spent the majority of his professional MMA career in the CES MMA promotion and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in nearly two years.

Gravely (7-1-0) will be competing for the first time since suffering the only defeat of his professional MMA career, which came to Merab Dvalishvili at Ring Of Combat 57. Gravely, prior to entering the MMA world, was an amateur wrestling champion in high school and at the collegiate level at Appalachian State University.

Curtis (14-5-0) is the welterweight champion despite losing title UFC veteran Nah-Shon Burrell in his last fight. Burrell missed weight and Curtis kept the gold as a result.

Santiago (7-3-0) will enter the fight riding a four fight winning streak, which includes a knockout win over Chuck O’Neil at CES MMA 39. Santiago has only seen one of his eight professional MMA fights go the distance, that was a loss to Darrius Heyliger at CES MMA Undisputed 2.

CES MMA 42 takes place on Friday, March 31 from the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island with Andre Soukhamthath and Todd Gravely headlining, the main card airs live on AXS TV.
