Two More Bouts Added To UFC Fight Night 107, Including A Top 15 Heavyweight Fight
Two more bouts have been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 107 card as #13 Daniel Omielanczuk faces #14 Timothy Johnson and Lina Lansberg faces Veronica Macedo.
Omielanczuk (19-6-1-1NC) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, defeating Chris De La Rocha, Jarjis Danho and Alexey Oleynik, while suffering a defeat to Stefan Struve. Omielanczuk entered the UFC on an eleven fight winning streak, a winning streak that lasted well over a year. Omielanczuk also fought a total of nine times in 2012, he won all nine of his fights that year, which includes winning the second annual Igor Vovchanchyn Cup.
Johnson (10-3-0) has won two of four fights under the UFC banner, defeating Shamil Abdurakhimov and Marcin Tybura, while suffering defeats to Alexander Volkov and Jared Rosholt. Johnson signed with the UFC while riding a seven fight winning streak, which includes a win over fellow UFC veteran Travis Wiuff. None of Johnson’s fights went to a decision for the first five years of his professional MMA career, he has gone 1-2-0 in fights that have gone the distance.
Lansberg (6-2-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping a fight to Cristiane Justino at UFC Fight Night 95. Lansberg also fought twice under the Cage Warriors banner, defeating both Emma Delaney and Laura Howarth. Lansberg has only seen one of her eight professional MMA fights go the distance, which was a win over Lucie Pudilova at Battle Of Botnia 5.
Macedo (5-1-1) is also winless under the UFC banner, dropping a fight to Ashlee Evans-Smith at UFC Fight Night 93. Macedo made her professional MMA debut in March of 2016, winning five fights in a row before fighting Iren Racz to a draw at Inferno Fighting Championships 2. Macedoalso went undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter, but it was a two year break from her last amateur fight to her first pro fight.
UFC Fight Night 107 takes place on Saturday, March 18 from The 02 in London, England with no main event announced at this time.
