Two Injury Replacements Announced For UFC Fight Night 102
Injury replacements have been announced for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 102 event as JJ Aldrich replaces Tatiana Suarez against Juliana Lima and Saparbek Safarov replaces Patrick Cummings against Gian Villante.
Aldrich (4-1-0) will be making her UFC debut in this fight, but she was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, she lost to Tatiana Suarez in the quarterfinals. Aldrich has won three fights in the Invicta Fighting Championships, defeating Lynn Alvarez, Rose Acevedo and Delaney Owen. Aldrich will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak and this will be her third fight of the year.
Safarov (8-0-0) will be making his UFC debut in this event, but he is coming off of a win over UFC veteran Rodney Wallace at World Fighting Championship Akhmat 17 earlier this year. Safarov has only seen one of his eight fights as a pro go past the first round, that lone fight that got past the opening round was against the previously mentioned Rodney Wallace. Safarov will also be making his North American MMA debut in this fight, as the majority of his previous fights have come in Russia.
UFC Fight Night 102 takes place on Friday, December 9 from the Times Union Center in Albany, New York with Derrick Lewis and Shamil Abdurakhimov headlining.
