TUF Champion Competing At UFC Fight Night 110

UFC Ultimate Fighter 9 winner Ross Pearson will be competing in a lightweight division fight at UFC Fight Night 110, and his opponent will be Dan Hooker.

Pearson (19-13-0-1NC) has only won just one of his last five fights, defeating Chad Laprise, but suffering defeats to Francisco Trinaldo, Will Brooks, Jorge Masvidal and Stevie Ray. Pearson has fought in three weight division during his nearly eight year UFC run, those weight divisions are featherweight, lightweight and welterweight. Pearson fought a total of five times in 2016, earning a subpar record of 1-4-0 in those five fights that year.

Hooker (13-7-0) has won three of six fights under the UFC banner, with those three wins coming over Ian Entwistle, Hatsu Hioki and Mark Eddiva. Hooker also competed four times in the Australian Fighting Championships, having won all four of those fights. Hooker will be competing in Australia for the fourth time during his UFC tenure, earning a record of 2-1-0 in those previous fights.

UFC Fight Night 110 takes place on Saturday, June 10 from the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand with Mark Hunt and Derrick Lewis headlining. Fightful will provide live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
