What most fans who watched the bout on ESPN 2 didn’t see was that Matthews made his entrance using the theme song of former multi-time WWE Champion Triple H.
Triple H would get wind of Matthews using his theme song and would say the following through Twitter:
Bad ass entrance.
Bad ass fight.
That’s how you play the game ….
Congrats @JakeMatthewsUFC. https://t.co/tQAVgL7PEg— Triple H (@TripleH) October 6, 2019
Matthews would respond to Triple H, saying the following on Twitter:
Thank you legend, it was my honour to walk out to such an iconic song. Not only pumped me up but all 57,000 people in the stadium!!

There has been a lot of cross over between professional wrestling and professional wrestling over the years, with the most recent being former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez making his WWE debut last week on WWE Smackdown to confront WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.
