Trio Of Bouts Set For UFC Fight Night St. Louis
Three bouts have been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night St. Louis card as Zak Cummings faces Thiago Alves, Marco Polo Reyes faces Matt Frevola and Alex White faces James Krause.
Cummings (21-5-0) enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak, defeating Alexander Yakovlev and Nathan Coy. Cummings has also lost just two of eight fights during his UFC tenure, to Gunnar Nelson and Santiago Ponzinibbio.
Alves (22-11-0) has won just one of three fights in the UFC, with that lone victory coming over Patrick Cote at UFC 210. Alves has previously challenged for the UFC Welterweight Title, losing to then champion Georges St. Pierre at UFC 100.
Reyes (7-4-0) has won three of four in the UFC, over Cesar Arzamendia, Dong Hyun Kim and Jason Novelli. Reyes has only seen one of his professional MMA fights go the distance — against Jason Novelli at UFC Fight Night 98.
Frevola (6-0-0) is making his UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over three years. Frevola competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 8, defeating Jose Flores by submission.
White (12-3-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, defeating both Artem Lobov and Mitch Clarke. White has suffered a total of three losses in the UFC and two of those three losses came by way of decision.
Krause (24-7-0) enters the fight on the strength of a three fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost three years. Krause competed on both the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15 and the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25, never making it further than the semi-finals.
