Tony Ferguson To Dustin Poirier: “Take The Money And Be Proud Fake”
There was a time when Tony Ferguson and Dustin Poirier were set to meet at UFC 254, but the UFC didn’t meet Poirier’s financial needs and the bout never came to fruition.
Now Poirier and Conor McGregor are reportedly set to fight later this year and Ferguson, who refused to fight at UFC 254 to support Poirier getting paid more, is calling Poirier a sellout for accepting the fight with the former two-division UFC champion. Ferguson said the following on Twitter:
I fight for a lot of things, but nothing more important to me than fighting for change and giving back @TheGoodFightFDN. The Generosity of @TheNotoriousMMA will help countless in need. I have accepted, Connor has accepted, and the fans demand it! Let’s go @ufc @espnmma
