Tom Lawlor Signs With PFL
Former UFC fighter and professional wrestler Tom Lawlor is looking to become a millionaire as the fighter has signed with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) and will compete in season three.
The fighter, who has only fought once in the last four years, says he has found the golden ticket after signing with the promotion.
“I have been given the golden lottery ticket to compete in this year’s PFL in the light heavyweight division for $1 million,” he said to ESPN. “I am here to tell you it is my absolute goal, it is my destiny, to take home that money, and it’s gonna happen at the end of 2020.”
Lawlor (10-7-0-1NC) enters the promotion while riding a two fight winning streak, dropping bouts to Deron Winn and Corey Anderson. Lawlor hasn’t picked up a win in almost five years, with that last victory coming over Gian Villante at UFC On Fox 16. Lawlor also served a two year suspension while in the UFC for failing a drug test issued by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
There is no word yet as to when Lawlor is going to be making his promotional debut or whom that will come against.
