Tito Ortiz Wants To Continue Working With Bellator MMA

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz competed for the final time at Bellator 170, where he submitted Chael Sonnen in the first round of their main event fight. Now retired, Ortiz still wants to be a part of the Bellator family.

“Do I work for the promotion? I’m going to do something MMA, for sure,” Ortiz said to MMA Junkie. “I will be a part of MMA, 100 percent, I guarantee you. I have so much in my big head of mine that can give back. And yes, that was a joke toward myself.”

Ortiz, now that he’s no longer a professional MMA fighter, says he also wants to enjoy the normal life… for a few months anyway.

“Have a normal life,” he said. “Being a fighter is not a normal life. You’ve got to understand that because we sacrifice so much away from our families, away from our friends. I think I’m going to enjoy life for a couple of months, and then, I don’t know.”

Ortiz won three of four fights in Bellator, defeating former Bellator Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko, Chael Sonnen and Stephen Bonnar. His lone loss came to former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Liam McGeary.
