Thiago Alves Promises Beating To Mike Perry
Thiago Alves was supposed to fight Mike Perry in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh, but then he pulled out of the fight.
Despite the missed opportunity to fight Perry in Pittsburgh, the welterweight star is promising his one-time opponent that a beating is coming his way.
The fighter made that promise through a post on Twitter:
I still have a ass whooping with @PlatinumPerry name on it. Don't talk yourself out, you got a gift this weekend and you know it! #easywork

Alves was dealing with Hurricane Irma, which affected his family and friends in many ways, including the passing of his dog during the hurricane.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the fighter talks about what he and his family went through during Hurricane Irma:
There is no timetable for Alves to make his UFC return and it is also unknown if he would face Perry when he returns.
