Stipe Miocic welcomes any and all challengers following his big win at UFC 252.
UFC heavyweight champion Miocic defeated former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier by unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 252. The baddest man on the planet does not have another bout booked at the moment, but Miocic is open to fighting anybody.
“I’ll fight anyone,” Miocic said following the fight, (via MMA Junkie). “I don’t care. I love what I do.”
Dana White stated multiple times that Francis Ngannou is next for Miocic. It would be a rematch from their first meeting at UFC 220. A fight Miocic won decisively.
A victorious Miocic says his key to success at UFC 252 was to not start off the fight like an idiot.
“(The key to success was) not start like an idiot,” Miocic said after the event. “I actually started pretty good at the beginning of the fight. He took me down, but I got back up, and I was happy about it. He caught me off guard with a good front headlock. I wasn’t worried about it. He did good. He’s a good fighter and made me second-guess myself, so I had to make him self-guess himself.”
UFC 252 took place from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, August 15. Miocic defeated Cormier by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 48-47) to cap off their trilogy.
