Fightful Fix is your one-stop-shop for all of today’s biggest combat sports stories — from Snoop Dogg starting a fight league to Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson III — conveniently compiled in one place. Take a look below.

Snoop Dogg is launching a boxing league called “The Fight Club”

Triller co-owner Ryan Kavanaugh is teaming up with Snoop for a new boxing league called “The Fight Club”. The organization will hold sanctioned and non-sanctioned fights involving professional boxers and first-timers. Snoop will provide commentary and book musical acts. Basically, it will follow the format of the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. card, which Kavanaugh says falls under “The Fight Club” banner.

“This is gonna be big. The whole idea is we want to change up the way that boxing is done,” Kavanagh told TMZ Sports (h/t Bleacher Report). “I can tell you that the main fight — I can’t say it yet — but it’s gonna be something that everybody wants to see. If you thought [Tyson vs. Jones] is big, I think that this would be even larger from a worldwide-appetite perspective and something that people want to see.”

Considering the Tyson vs. Jones card cleared $1 million buys, why not?

Evander Holyfield calls for trilogy fight with Mike Tyson

Everyone wants a piece of a revitalized Tyson. Legendary boxer Evander Holyfield holds two wins over Tyson: an 11th-round TKO in November 1996 and a disqualification win in June 1997. The DQ win involved the infamous ear-biting fiasco in which Tyson took a chomp out of Holyfield’s ear. Holyfield called out “Iron” Mike following the latter’s return against Roy Jones Jr. — but both parties blame each other for negotiation stalls.

“My side tried to make the fight happen and we got nothing but excuses,” Holyfield said in a press release Tuesday, per MMA Fighting. “Now I can see why he wanted a tune-up fight before thinking about fighting me.”

“Maybe Evander needs to talk to me because every time my business associates talk to his business associates, it doesn’t turn out well,” Tyson previously said. “So I don’t know. If you could see what we made tonight, if these guys really care about the welfare of Evander they would have had this fight with Evander… Maybe we’ll do another but whoever he’s with who’s handling him is totally wrong.”

Holyfield also previously stated his asking price for a third Tyson fight: $25 million.

“I wasn’t getting in the ring for less than $25 million,” the boxing legend told the I Am Athlete podcast (h/t DAZN). “I beat him twice. I felt it was wrong for me to have to ask him to fight me… If they called me to fight in two days, I’d be there to fight in two days.”

*Buster Douglas has entered the chat*

Holyfield is not the only fabled Tyson rival seeking a rematch. Enter Buster Douglas, the remarkable 42-to-1 underground who knocked out Tyson in 1990 to win the WBA, WBC, and IBF heavyweight titles. Douglas, who has not fought professionally since 1990, told USA Today Sports he welcomes a rematch.

“Sure, I would welcome the opportunity. Being a prizefighter all those years and still feeling pretty good today, you always feel you got one more fight in you,” Douglas said. “I’ve been asked about it in casual conversation They always ask, ‘Why didn’t you guys have a rematch?’ It was just never presented really, as far as a rematch. It was often mentioned. That’s about it.”

Mike Tyson can’t stop smoking the devil’s lettuce

Tyson made the news rounds after confirming he was indeed high during his impressive boxing match against Jones. When asked if he had smoked weed before heading to the ring, “Iron” Mike confirmed, “Absolutely, yes.”

“Listen, I can’t stop smoking,” he continued (h/t MMA Junkie). “I smoked during fights. I just have to smoke. I’m sorry. I’m a smoker… I smoke every day. I never stopped smoking.”

Roy Jones Jr. says “I thought I won the fight” vs. Mike Tyson

Jones was content with a draw in his boxing match against Tyson; however, he expressed his belief post-fight that he delivered the better performance behind the work of his jab.

“Of course, everybody’s always gonna feel like they won the fight,” Jones expressed (h/t MMA Fighting). “I thought I won the fight, I thought I jabbed, moved around, and kind of controlled the pace better. But I took a draw with Mike Tyson, how could you get mad about that? He’s throwing more power punches anyway, I’m throwing more jabs and other punches, he landed more power punches, so it could go either way.”

“I’m cool with the draw,” he continued. “I hear him talking about how he want to do it again, but he’s a big ol’ dude. He weighed 220, but he’s more massive than 220, trust me.”

NHL enforcer Evander Kane calls out Logan Paul

Vancouver-born San Jose Shark’s player Evander Kane — who was actually named after Evander Holyfield — wants to scrap with Logan Paul. The ultra-tough NHL enforcer is the son of an amateur boxer father and college volleyball-playing mother. The boxing pedigree does not end there. Kane’s cousin, Kirk Johnson, boxed for Canada at the 1992 Summer Olympics and fought John Ruiz for the 2002 WBA heavyweight title.

“Logan Paul, I’ll take the mop off your head and wipe the floor with ya,” Kane threatened Paul in a tweet posted on Tuesday.
