Shavkat Rakhmonov targeting fights with some of the best welterweights in the world after impressive win over Neil Magny

This past weekend at UFC Vegas 57, one of the most promising and hyped prospects in the UFC Shavkat Rakhmonov picked up yet another stoppage victory and this time he defeated a welterweight veteran in Neil Magny which proved that Rakhmonov is here to compete with the best of the best.

At just 27 years old, Rakhmonov holds a perfect 16-0 record with all 16 of his wins coming via stoppage, he added to his list of stoppages this past weekend when he submitted Magny with a guillotine.

Now that Rakhmonov has proved both to the UFC fans and himself that he can defeat some of the best fighters in the world, he is now growing in confidence and this is shown by which names he mentioned in his interviews following his win this past weekend.

In his post fight press conference, Rakhmonov revealed three fighters who are on his list of people who he wants to fight.

The three fighters who are on the Kazakh’s list are Nick Diaz, Jorge Masvidal and Stephen Thompson.

As of right now, unless Rakhmonov gets the Khamzat Chimaev treatment which would not be surprising at all, these bouts are probably quite unlikely as Rakhmonov is still ranked outside the top 10 in the welterweight division.

If Rakhmonov does not get the opportunity to fight one of Diaz, Masvidal and Thompson, who would you like to see him fight next?
