Sean O’Malley Makes $20K In 39 Seconds Selling Jerseys, Preparing For Clothing Line Launch
Sean O’Malley is making serious cheddar outside of the UFC.
O’Malley is back in action next weekend at UFC 252, facing Marlon Vera in the co-main event of the card. The UFC star recently sold some customized jerseys online, making $20,000 in 39 seconds.
“We did our first little drop with the jerseys. We had a limited edition jersey, 100 of them for $200. They sold out in 39 seconds,” O’Malley said to MMA Fighting. “We auctioned off No. 420 and 69, those went for some good money on eBay. So that was exciting, kind of seeing the numbers we could do. I think over 4,000 people on the website trying to get the jerseys.”
O’Malley has spoken out against the UFC/Reebok deal in the past, inspiring him to launch his own clothing line. Those who want to get their hands on O’Malley’s clothing line may have a chance to do so during UFC 252 fight week.
“We’re dropping some more stuff fight week,” O’Malley said. “Might be doing a collaboration with Cookies for some merch. Everything’s going awesome. The only thing I need to do is keep winning fights and everything around me goes up from there. Everything’s going good and can’t complain.”
UFC 252 takes place on Saturday, August 15 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The rubber match between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier will serve as headliner. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
