Ryan Bader & Rampage Jackson Nearly Got Into A Post-Fight Brawl At Bellator 226

Two division Bellator champion Ryan Bader fought Cheick Kongo to a no contest in the main event of Bellator 226

However, a second fight nearly happened for Bader at the event, as he and Rampage Jackson nearly got into a post-fight brawl.

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker was at the event and was shocked at what happened between the two fighters.

“It’s an emotional time,” he said after the event (via Steven Marrocco & Dave Doyle of MMA Junkie). “That’s his training mate, and people get very close when you start training together at the same gym, and I think that’s what you saw, a guy who had a lot of passion defending his teammate. But it died down pretty quickly. We’ll go back and review the tape. But I actually was a little surprised. I had to do a double-take. (I said to myself), ‘Who’s up there barking? Oh my god, it’s Rampage Jackson. It happened and we’ll take a look at it. But hey listen, no one was flying out of the cage attacking other people.”

Bader and Jackson have collided once before, with Bader scoring a unanimous decision win over Rampage at UFC 144. There has been no comment from either Bader or Rampage on their near brawl at Bellator 226.
