Ronda Rousey Says UFC 207 Will Be One Of Her Last Fights

Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey is returning to the octagon at UFC 207, when she battles current champion Amanda Nunes for the gold. However, this fight may be one of the last times you will ever see Rousey fight, because she stated in a recent appearance on The Ellen Show that her fight at UFC 207 “is definitely one of my last fights.”

“The show isn’t going to be around forever. I’m wrapping it up,” Rousey said. “This is definitely one of my last fights. Everyone better watch because the show isn’t going to be around forever.”

Just in case you think Rousey is taking what may be one of her last opponents in Amanda Nunes lightly, you would be wrong.

“I’ve been training twice a day since the beginning of August,” Rousey said. “I finally feel like I’m in super-ninja good mode.”

Rousey has not competed since UFC 193 in November 2015, where she lost her women’s bantamweight title after being knocked out by Holly Holm. This bout against Nunes will also mark the first time in nearly five years that she will be in a title fight as a challenger, the last time was when she challenged and defeated Miesha Tate for the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Title in March 2012.

UFC 207 is taking place on Friday, December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey headlining.
