Ronda Rousey will be back in WWE, at least according to Triple H.
Rousey, a decorated MMA star-turned-pro wrestler had an impressive showing in the WWE over her year-long run from WrestleMania 34 to WrestleMania 35. However, since headlining the latter, she’s been completely absent from the ring.
On Friday, WWE hosted a press event to announce matches for the upcoming Crown Jewel show. Afterwards, Triple H participated in a media scrum, where he reportedly stated “she’s coming back,” per Ryan McKinnell, who was in attendance.

Again, no further details were provided. Fightful will add context as we gain more information from the scrum, which featured announcements on Tyson Fury and Cain Velasquez‘s debut WWE matches. The only video of the scrum that surfaced did not feature the comments
Rousey became WWE Raw Women’s Champion in 2018 and had a dominant year with the company. She would drop the title at WrestleMania in the first ever women’s main event, losing to Becky Lynch. Since, she’s taken time off to start a family, and is currently a cast member of the new season of Total Divas.
“I think what made her big in WWE was her passion,” said Triple H. “I feel one of the things that hurt her emotionally is that she put on a persona to fight, much like we do. She went all in with it, and nobody could separate the two and she was judged by that. You have to look at the human being — she was waking up in the middle of the night to her mom putting her in an armbar to try to figure out how to get out of it. There’s a different level of expectation. The way she handled the reality of that and the theatrical aspect of that blended. Here was a show. She was eliciting a response, everyone knew she was eliciting a response and she got great enjoyment out of eliciting a response (even though she pretended she didn’t.)”
