Rogan No Longer Wants To Interview KO’ed Fighters
There were plenty of interesting things that took place this past Saturday Night at UFC 203, but one of the strangest was definitely the post-fight interview between Joe Rogan and Alistair Overeem, who was only minutes recovered from a viscous knockout by heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
During the interview, a clearly reeling Overeem claimed that Miocic had tapped out earlier in the fight to a guillotine choke and a video replay was shown twice, which proved that Miocic did not tap out at any time. The truly embarrassing situation lead to Joe Rogan taking to Twitter, both on his own and then in a discussion with current welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
If you’ve ever talked to a friend who has been KO’ed their perception of reality can be drastically off & their memory is severely impaired.

I asked the UFC brass if we could please refrain from interviewing fighters after they’ve been KO’ed. I don’t think it’s wise nor fair.

@TWooodley I had to play it because I didn’t know if he was right. It’s always possible there’s something we didn’t see and he was adamant.

@TWooodley Once we showed the first angle he thought in another angle it would be there, so we had to give him a chance.

Whether or not the UFC brass does take what Rogan says to heart is something that an eye will be kept on at future UFC events.
