Rizin Returns On August 9 & 10, Bantamweight Title Fight Headlines The Weekend
MMA has started to return to a form on normalcy during the coronavirus, but one major promotion has been absent, with that promotion being Rizin.
That is no longer the case because Rizin is back in action next month, specifically August 9 and August 10 with Rizin 22 and Rizin 23. Both cards will take place from the Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Japan and both events will have fan attendance, at a 50% capacity only.
The main event for Rizin 22 is a lightweight division encounter as Roberto De Souza faces Yusuke Yachi, while Kai Asakura and Hromasa Ogikubo battle for the vacant Rizin Bantamweight Title in the main event of Rizin 23.
Each card will have a total of seven bouts on it, with three more fights from each card being revealed in the future.
Here are the announced bouts for each card:
Rizin 22 (August 9)
Robert Satoshi Souza vs. Yusuke Yachi
Kanna Asakura vs. Mizuki Furuse
