The UFC returns this weekend with UFC 249, which is going to be headlined by former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson and former WSOF Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje fighting for the vacant UFC Interim Lightweight Title.
All Elite Wrestling also held their first live broadcast of AEW Dynamite in quite awhile last night, which like the upcoming UFC 249 card, is being held in Jacksonville, Florida.
It appears that the stars from both the UFC and AEW could be mingling a lot this week, because Ariel Helwani of ESPN reports that both are staying in the same hotel in Jacksonville:
Two major events are happening in Jacksonville this week: UFC 249 and AEW tapings.
Coincidentally, all fighters/wrestlers and personnel for both orgs are staying at the same hotel in Jacksonville, I’m told. That could make for a fun time.

AEW has also taken a lot of precautions with the coronavirus pandemic, as AEW President Tony Khan tweeted the following before AEW Dynamite:
#AEWDynamite is live tonight on TNT at 8pm ET/7CT! I’ve tested negative for COVID as have all wrestlers & staff here, we’re taking best precautions possible & it’ll be a great show with the debut of Matt Hardy teaming w/ Kenny Omega v. Jericho & Guevara, + @JonMoxley v. Kazarian! pic.twitter.com/Kh56Drk5I4

While both companies could be sharing the same hotel, both are not sharing the same venues for their events, as UFC 249 is taking place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena and AEW Dynamite is happening from Daily’s Place.
